Crafted by master artisans in Jingdezhen — China’s 1,000-year-old porcelain capital — this lidded cat mug marries ancient ceramic heritage with quiet, cozy whimsy.
Each piece is hand-thrown from premium local kaolin clay and finished with a signature amber reactive glaze. Fired at 1300°C in traditional kilns, the glaze flows and mottles naturally to form a one-of-a-kind fur-like texture — no two mugs share the exact same pattern. The sculpted dozing cat lid locks in heat and keeps dust out, while the curled tail handle fits comfortably in your palm.
With a 350ml capacity, it is perfectly sized for morning coffee, herbal tea, or evening cocoa. Food-safe, durable for daily use, and gentle on the hands — it turns every ordinary sip into a small, peaceful ritual.
In the narrow old alleys of Jingdezhen, where kiln fires have glowed steadily for centuries, there’s a quiet tradition among local potters: the workshop cats.
They pad across damp clay slabs at dawn, curl up on warm kiln edges at dusk, and watch silently as artisans shape mud into porcelain. Our designers grew up watching these tabby cats wander in and out of their family’s pottery studio — soft, unhurried, and always at peace beside the fire.
We created this mug to honor that quiet companionship. We shaped the lid into a dozing cat face, curved the handle into a resting tail, and chose an earthy amber glaze that mimics the sun-warmed fur of the kiln-side tabbies. Every piece spends hours in the heat, where the glaze shifts and settles in unpredictable ways — just like the unique personality of every cat.
It’s not just a mug. It’s a small, handcrafted reminder of slow, warm moments — of kiln light, soft purrs, and the gentle magic of things made by hand.
